This is a not-for-profit organization providing opportunity for people of Sherborne and district to build enjoyable and worthwhile relationships between European towns, their individuals and groups of people with common interests. This is achieved through a programme of educational, sporting, cultural, musical and civic activities as well as providing opportunities and contacts for groups with common interests. From this, commercial and tourism opportunities can develop across Europe.

The Gryphon School

The Gryphon is a large, mixed state comprehensive school for students aged between 11 and 18. It is a Business and Enterprise College. It is representing Dorset Education Authority in the project.

Sherborne Town Council

Sherborne Town Council provides a range of services, in association with Dorset County Council and West Dorset District Council, to a population of about 10,000 who live within the boundaries of the town of Sherborne. These include recreational facilities, parks, a cemetery, and others. STC also hosts Sherborne Area Partnership (SAP), the community planning organisation for Sherborne and its rural hinterland. SAP will acting on behalf of STC in promoting this project.

Volunteer Centre Dorset

VCD is a non-profit organisations which provides support to the voluntary and community sector in Dorset. For organisations we provide information and advice on good practice in volunteer management, training for staff and volunteers, and help recruit new volunteers. For individuals we offer training, advice and signposting to volunteering opportunities. We maintain an extensive database of information on organisations and volunteer opportunities.

As well as working with over 1,000 voluntary organisations across the county of Dorset we also work with county and local municipal authorities, health boards, and several regional bodies which involve volunteers. We run community meetings and events to raise awareness of volunteering and encourage new volunteers to come forward.
